Cedric

A few weeks ago, I made a visit to Georges Camera in North Park to find a tripod square(thanks Calvin for the hook up) and just as I exited there was this tall dude that asked if I took photos or did video. His name was Cedric. I replied back telling him I did both so we exchanged numbers after he said he needed shots and some work done. After a few meetings with him discussing ideas over lots of ramen and boba, we were able to lay out how to get him 'out there'.

This random guy off the street is a purpose-filled enthusiast, energetic and full of life to succeed in the music industry (or life in general). I agreed to accompany his journey and to hopefully succeed in everything we're about jump into. Dispute my schedule being super packed with moving houses, multiple projects and my funky work schedule, I'm really looking forward to all this.

I contacted Brian and Cedric to practice recording for one of Cedric's songs, take a couple shots and eventually get something to eat.. and you guessed it. Ramen!

Super Saturday

While at work today, I got an email from a photographer wanting to trade my 24L for a 16-35L 2.8.. its funny because my intentions were to get the 16-35 once someone bought the 24L. What a good way to start my day.. with a new lens! To kick off the weekend, I hit up Joe, Jamie and Tom if they wanted to go to LA with us. We haven't had the time to all hang out for a while so what a perfect day to do so.

I had to wait for Jojo to get off work at 5pm so I decided to head down to La Mesa to meet up with the person who wanted to trade lenses. We ended up talking about photos and business for good hour, then we traded more contact information and went our way.  I decided to meet up with Project Zero before leaving La Mesa because they were working on Jay's car in National City

Jay's car was going through a suspension change by going with an air bag set up which allowed him to fully adjust his height whenever he wanted. In the photos below, you could see them cutting up wood to place the air tank and compressors that would manage the air through out the suspension. Daniel came over before he went to work because his trunk latch wouldn't keep it closed. Thankfully painters tape kept it down LOL (Get that fixed mayne). Once 5pm hit, I left Nasty City to meet up with Jojo and see everyone in temecula and head out to LA to eat and go to Round 1 (which I ended up taking a nap though out lol). We ate at Cham Sut Gol which is our go-to spot for Korean BBQ in Rowland Heights and the servers and workers know us there as regulars thanks to Tom haha. I recommend this place to anyone (AYCE BBQ, SUSHI and Ice cream!)

Tumblr Girls

Dope track by G-Eazy featuring Christoph Andresson about tumblr girls. its funny I barely ran into this today. I started tumblr back in 2008 with all the indie word based blogs filled with kodak photos and shots from disposable film, to tumblarity and tumblr meetups, the rise of underground mixtapes, cdj's, fashion blogs, and to the current superficial masses trying to keep up with the Jones'. It was fun reading all the blogs from users that expressed themselves religiously while it lasted but it seems, visually, its all dumbed down to meme's and showing a lot of skin (with the occasional porn). But there is a handful that still do post quality word posts. Overall, I still enjoy the youth that tumblr still has but that varies on who you follow as well. Whatever it is today, it helped me reach out to many friends who I still call good friends today and helped me shape myself in many ways emotionally, mentally and creatively. I still use it to this day.
